Westcott Vineyards

Winery Star

Wine Leaders' Choice

Niagara, Canada

Started by Grant Westcott and Carolyn Hurst, this Toronto couple sold their home in 2008 and went all in on their winemaking dreams. The winery can be found in the Vinemount Ridge VQA appellation, and they do a fabulous job of translating Niagara’s main grapes, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Made by Winemaker Casey Kulczyk, The Block 76 Chardonnay is both aged and fermented in oak but expect this production to be something other than an oak bomb. Filled with aromas of bosc pear, apple, lemon zest and flinty minerality, followed by a palate with a touch of spice. This is a generous wine with a fresh and crisp finish. An ideal bottle for those that love Chardonnay.
