Vieux Télégraphe

Châteauneuf-du-Pape, France

The domain of Vieux Télégraphe has been run by our family, the Brunier family, for six generations, exactly since 1891. The vineyard, with an average age of 70 years, is located on the famous Crau plateau, the high place of Châteauneuf-du-Pape viticulture. This terroir gives our wines a very particular minerality, as if they had been filtered through the thick layer of rolled pebbles left behind by the melting of the Alpine glaciers, well before the formation of the Rhône Valley.

Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe (red and white), Télégramme (red), Piedlong (red), Clos Roquète (white)… we cultivate and vinify different expressions of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroir, but also Les Pallières in Gigondas (rosé and red), Pigeoulet (red and white) and Mégaphone (red) in the foothills of Mont Ventoux. We are crazy about Grenache, a grape variety that has found a home in our Provencal regions.

Climate, mistral, historical grape varieties, soils, feeling, exposure… the personality of a terroir is a magical set of natural and human elements that is sufficient in itself to reveal an expression, to emit a vibration that no oenological technique is yet able to reproduce.
