Veuve Cliquot

Since its founding in 1772, the House has been proud of its motto: “One quality, the very first”. A short lineage of only 11 Chefs de Caves has led to the quest for quality, ensuring the continuity of the Veuve Clicquot style: strength and complexity. Veuve Clicquot favors excellence and quality.

Today, the Maison owns one of the most important vineyards in the Champagne region in terms of surface area and quality: 390 hectares spread over 12 of the 17 Grands Crus and 20 of the 44 Premiers Crus that Champagne has. This exceptional heritage has been built up over the centuries since the founder’s time on an earlier base, and then by the various managers of Veuve Clicquot. It particularly bears the imprint of Madame Clicquot. The Veuve Clicquot vineyard is composed of 47% Chardonnay, 36% Pinot Noir and 17% Pinot Meunier.
