Travaglini

Gattinara, Italy

Travaglini’s story began in the 1920s, when Clemente Travaglini started making wine from grapes grown in his small estate vineyards. Clemente Travaglini was the one who recognised the potential of this region by establishing the first winery in the centre of the city. His passion helped raise Gattinara’s status, a commitment that has continued through the following generations.

Gattinara is a small town at the heart of the eponymous wine region in Alto Piemonte, at the foot of Monte Rosa. This extraordinary place has a unique terroir, incredibly suited to producing Nebbiolo wines of great complexity, elegance and freshness.

Their cellar is the beating heart of their winery. It is where their wine rests, changes and evolves. Each vineyard is vinified separately in order to differentiate its quality and enhance the particular characteristics that distinguish it. The choice of each supplier, the type of wood, its toasting and the attention paid to every single detail is specifically designed to enhance the natural evolution of their wines and preserve its grapes’ organoleptic profile.
