Bodegas José Pariente
Valladolid, Spain
Situated on a moor and embraced by the heart of the Rueda region, Bodegas José Pariente stands as a testament to the rich history and exquisite craft of winemaking. Enveloped by a captivating flat landscape, adorned with stony soils and time-honored vines, the bodega thrives, serving as a witness to the extraordinary journey of the Verdejo grape and the steadfast dedication of its visionary founders.
In the visionary spirit of the 1960s, José Pariente dared to imagine a future rooted in artisanal viticulture. Awakened by the allure of the terroir, he dedicated his days to crafting exceptional wines. Through years of relentless work, he laid the foundation for the core values that define the bodega’s philosophy today: unwavering quality, unyielding commitment, sustainable practices, and a relentless pursuit of innovation.

In 1998, Victoria Pariente took the helm from her father, embracing winemaking as a way of life. She skillfully wove together the threads of the past, present, and future, breathing new life into the production of wines. Driven by a passion for innovation and a deep respect for the environment, she achieved a delicate balance that elevated the bodega’s wines to new heights. It was during this pivotal time that the bodega took its first steps and introduced its inaugural wines to the discerning palates of wine enthusiasts.
In 2008, Bodegas José Pariente blossomed into its present form, adorned with modern facilities that exemplify the bodega’s dedication to excellence. The establishment swiftly became a beacon of distinction within the esteemed Rueda Designation of Origin. Rooted in family heritage, the new generation now proudly carries the torch forward, as Martina and Ignacio Prieto Pariente embody the bodega’s deep-seated values.

.
Raised in harmony with the terroir, their lives intricately entwined with varietals and winemaking, Martina and Ignacio bring a fresh perspective to the bodega’s philosophy. They champion innovation in viticulture, striving for the environmental, social, and economic sustainability of their surroundings. Since 2015, the bodega has embarked on numerous research and development collaborations with the Polytechnic University of Madrid, yielding an integrated vineyard management system that optimizes the use of natural resources. Embracing the principles of organic viticulture, their tireless efforts enhance the qualitative expression of each harvest, unlocking the full oenological potential of their wines.
With 25 years of experience under their belt, Bodegas José Pariente remains steadfast in their pursuit of excellence. Their unwavering commitment to continuous improvement is evident in their tireless work, relentless innovation, and unwavering desire to offer the very best that their land has to offer.
