Bodegas Aragonesas

Fuendejalón, Zaragoza, Spain

Although Bodegas Aragonesas was founded in 1984, the cultivation of the vines – particularly Garnacha – stems from 1145 and the Cistercian monks of the Monastery of Veruela, located a short distance from Fuendejalón and Magallón. The ancestors of Bodegas Aragonesas inherited this valuable and historic legacy, and subsequent generations have worked diligently to enrich and maximize its potential. Their love and dedication to Garnacha can be seen both in the vineyards and the winery, as they constantly strive to improve cultivation methods and winemaking techniques.

.

The winery’s flagship brands, Fagus, Coto de Hayas, Garnacha Centenaria, Galiano, Don Ramón, and Aragonia, have gained international recognition and have been honored with numerous awards and distinctions. The success of these brands is a testament to the commitment of Bodegas Aragonesas in maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Covering an expansive 3,700 hectares (9,200 acres), the vineyards of Bodegas Aragonesas create a magnificent symphony of color. The red, stony soil provides the ideal environment for the cultivation of their principal grape varieties, including Garnacha, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Mazuela, Chardonnay, Macabeo, and Muscat. These resilient vineyards, some of which are over a century old, thrive in unparalleled terroir and harsh climate conditions, resulting in grapes with distinctive character and exceptional quality.

.

.

However, it is not just the land and climate that contribute to the greatness of these vineyards. The passion and dedication of the team at Bodegas Aragonesas play a significant role in producing wines of exceptional quality. With centuries of vineyard tradition and a team of expert winemakers, they have mastered the art of Garnacha production. Working in harmony with the rest of the staff, they consistently deliver internationally acclaimed wines that showcase the best of their terroir.

Bodegas Aragonesas offers a range of wines that cater to all preferences and markets. From organic fruity wines to complex single-vineyard selections, from youthful unaged wines to aged crianza and reserva, and from white, red, and rosé blends to single varietals, their diverse portfolio has something to satisfy every palate.
