The sole fruit source comes from a certified sustainable Spanish Springs Vineyard, 1.5 miles from the ocean in the San Luis Obispo Coast AVA, California’s coolest grape-growing climate. They use sustainable farming practices and renewable energy to lessen their impact and become as carbon-neutral as possible. Oceano Wines is committed to eco-friendly, vegan practices in both their agricultural and production processes.

Rachel Martin

Founder and CEO Rachel Martin has been growing grapes and making wine for over 20 years. One of the few female leaders in the wine industry, she brings a fresh approach to winemaking. Rachel is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier International New York and Washington, D.C chapters, and was the first woman to be inducted into the District of Columbia chapter of the International Wine & Food Society.

She supports many philanthropic organizations assisting women who need access to education, housing, clothing, and job interview training. Rachel is committed to running her business in an environmentally and socially responsible way. Oceano cares about our oceans and demonstrates that through monthly donations to Surfrider Foundation.
