Narbona

Winery Star

Wine Leaders' Choice

Carmelo, Uruguay

Their winery is housed within the original hull of a farm dating back to 1909, where Juan de Narbona established one of the country’s first wineries. In 1990, the hull was repurposed, and in 2010, a new wine cellar was constructed exclusively for the production of premium wines. With approximately 15 hectares of vineyards, including Tannat, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot, Viognier, and Syrah, they prioritize balance and quality through low yields per hectare. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo meticulous selection before fermentation in stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels for a minimum of 18 months. The result is a sensory experience that captures the essence of their craftsmanship.

Beyond the vineyards, they also cultivate small fruit tree orchards for the production of jams, syrups, and a variety of other artisanal products. At their cellar, they believe in engaging all senses, with tasting and aromas playing a vital role. Their dedication to tradition, attention to detail, and commitment to quality make their winery a destination for wine enthusiasts seeking an exceptional sensory journey.
