Mariella is a wine enthusiast. Her love for wine (possibly) began with small wine tastings that she did at College while she was studying to become a Food and Beverage specialist, where every aroma and flavor of red fruits and cherries on Cabernet passed unnoticed by her and was a simple excuse to have a good time during class.
.
Still, every class, every pairing, every session, even every laugh she shared with her classmates as the flavors were brought out (which seemed like an impossible activity at that time) brought her attention to this drink, the same that today many people feel obfuscated by, instead of simply enjoy, and what better if it is with some knowledge.
.
That is how, years later, her blog “Vinos Bonitos” (Pretty Wines) was born, a guide for wine lovers, who do not know about strains or terroirs, and only seek to understand a little more about what they consume, in order to enjoy it better. Because I am not a sommelier, just a “self-taught taster.”
.
Mariella says that Peru is a country that moves a lot due to trends, many wineries are attracted to this market. They are the so-called “boutique wineries”, signature wines that take advantage of the excellent cuisine that this country has and the infinity of pairings with which they can highlight their products and increase their value.
