Mariana Gil Juncal is a Spaniard born in Argentina who lives in Buenos Aires, the daughter of a Galician father and a Buenos Aires mother. She is a specialist in social communication, journalist, and Certified Sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers.

For Mariana, wine is a journey because through each glass of wine people can learn the terroirs, landscapes and production traditions. Her love for traveling and wine led her to wineries and vineyards to literally touring the world by the glass. She traveled, tasted and toasted so much that she has been ten times around the world thanks to wine.

.Mariana’s passion for communicating wine in an interesting and varied way led her to the creation of the Wine Map®, a cycle of tastings, courses (face-to-face and online), fairs and a podcast that promotes the communication of national and international viticulture. Her interest to keep up with the news and personalities of the industry is channeled into the articles that she publishes weekly in Vinetur, the prestigious Spanish wine magazine for which she is a correspondent in Argentina.
