Lea Gatinois is a 28 years old wine entrepreneur. She grew up in Bordeaux and moved to Switzerland at 18 to complete a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne. After working for two years in marketing for a retailer company in Germany, she came back to Bordeaux to specialise in wine.

Lea therefore started a master’s degree in wine and spirits management from Kedge Business School in Bordeaux, and also successfully passed the DipWSET, an internationally recognised certification that brings advanced knowledge of wine. During her wine studies, Lea got the idea to create simple tools to exercise her knowledge. In May 2020, she became an entrepreneur in the wine sector and created Amble Wine.

Amble Wine is a Bordeaux-based startup that offers educational tools for wine enthusiasts. The approach is to learn the world of wine through practice. Lea created workbooks containing over 110 emblematic wine maps of the world with empty versions that can be completed.
She also developed wine boxes to practice blind tasting. Amble Wine wishes to be as sustainable as possible: the books are printed on 100% recycled paper using vegetable-based ink, all the products are fully recyclable and the entire team favours short circuits of production.
