Kristy Wenz is a wine and travel writer, educator, and communicator currently based in Chicago. She holds a Level 3 certification from the Wines & Spirits Education Trust. Kristy combines her communications skills with her passion and expertise for wine, travel and culture. She focuses on helping people, brands, and regions tell their stories through words, visuals, and experiences.

Kristy is the Senior Managing Editor at VINOHEAD, and a published author with numerous digital publications. She is a wine educator at the American Wine School and SkillPop, as well as the production assistant for Stranger Wine Company in Buchanan, Michigan where she works in both the vineyards and cellar.

She has explored wineries in more than 25 States and throughout Canada, and spent eight months living in Europe exploring the wine regions of Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Romania and Austria.

Kristy has also worked in the vineyards in the Finger Lakes wine region of New York, worked the crush pad at harvest in the Lake Michigan Shore of Michigan, and has served as a brand ambassador for numerous wineries and wine associations.
