Jiménez Landi

Winery Star

Wine Leaders' Choice

Méntrida, Spain

They work a total of 15 hectares of vineyards between the ages of 12 and 40. They carry out ecological and respectful agriculture with the environment that surrounds them in order to produce subtle wines faithful to their environment. The native variety of the area is the Garnacha forgetting other varieties that are adapting very well.

The vineyards are located on highly degraded sandy granitic soils, poor in organic matter, acidic, and with little lime. The altitudes of the vineyards are between 550 and 650 meters above sea level.

The climate is extremely continental, with long, cold winters, somewhat tempered by being protected from the cold north and west winds by the Gredos mountain barrier. Summers are hot and rainfall is very low, around 465 mm per year.
