Iron Horse Vineyards is a world-class producer of elegant sparkling and still wines. Iron Horse sparkling wines have been served at the White House for six consecutive presidential administrations. With a demonstrated commitment to environmental issues and stewardship of both the land and community, the winery produces a limited-production, vintage Blanc de Blancs called Ocean Reserve, for which a portion of sales benefits protected marine areas and reduces over-fishing around the globe.

Joy Sterling

Today, Iron Horse is led by second-generation vintner and CEO Joy Sterling. A graduate of Yale University, Joy enjoyed a successful career as Deputy Bureau Chief for ABC Network News before joining the family winery in 1985. She is a member of the California State Food & Agriculture Board, appointed by the Governor.

Joy quietly took up the reins as CEO at the start of 2006 after 20 years of presenting wines across the country, from La Mer at the Halekulani in Honolulu to the Four Seasons in New York. One of her major initiatives is a special cuvée called Ocean Reserve. $5 per bottle sold, goes to help establish marine-protected areas and support sustainable fishing around the globe.
