Champagne Beaumont des Crayères

Champagne Ardenne, France

The year was 1955 when a group of passionate winemakers came together with a shared vision. Driven by their desire to showcase the unique characteristics of their terroir, they established an independent and dedicated Champagne House – Beaumont des Crayères.

To elevate the king of wines, the rose, the queen of flowers, was chosen as the brand’s emblem. Majestic purple-pink roses now grace the vineyard plots, their color symbolizing charm, nobility, and affection.

Located in the picturesque town of Mardeuil, amidst the rolling hills of the Marne Valley, Maison Beaumont des Crayères boasts a vineyard grown on chalky soils. Here, the dominant grape variety is Meunier, around which the House has developed unparalleled expertise.

With a deep commitment to preserving the heritage of Champagne, Beaumont des Crayères has long embraced the principles of sustainable and reasoned viticulture. Each generation of winemakers has been entrusted with the responsibility of respecting and protecting their soil, vines, and the environment. Their unwavering pursuit of excellence and dedication to preserving tradition led to the well-deserved recognition of the Coteaux, Maisons et Caves de Champagne as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

In 2014, Beaumont des Crayères Champagne earned the prestigious ISO 22000 certification, a testament to its exceptional craftsmanship, commitment to terroir preservation, and the traceability of its champagnes.

From the exquisite Brut Non-Vintage to the captivating single-varietal Vintage offerings, every wine embodies the signature style and savoir-faire of Beaumont des Crayères.

The vintage and prestige cuvées are meticulously crafted exclusively from the “heart of the vintage.” Through careful fractionation during pressing, only the finest fraction of juice is selected, resulting in a champagne of unparalleled quality with excellent aging potential.

The Chef de Cave dedicates utmost care to the winemaking and blending process, ensuring that each cuvée reflects the elegance and subtlety closest to the terroir. The juices from different grape varieties are vinified separately, offering a broad palette of wines for the final blending. Following the harvest, a series of blind tastings commences, serving as a crucial selection stage to determine which wines will make it into the final composition.

For Maison Beaumont des Crayères, the unique character of its champagnes is revealed after an aging process tailored to each cuvée. According to regulations, non-vintage champagnes undergo a minimum of 15 months of aging on lees, while vintage champagnes require 36 months. However, Beaumont des Crayères Champagne surpasses these requirements, aging their non-vintages for 2 to 4 years, vintages for 5 years, and their prestige cuvées for an astonishing 10 years.

With a rich history and an unwavering commitment to quality, Beaumont des Crayères Champagne has earned its place among the most esteemed Champagne houses. From vineyard to cellar, their dedication to preserving tradition and crafting exceptional champagnes is unwavering, making them a true beacon of excellence in the world of Champagne.
