Herbert Vineyard

Winery Star

Wine Leaders' Choice

Mount Gambier, Australia

The vineyard was established in 1996 with a small extension in 2004. It is located in Bishop Road just 500 metres east of the intersection with Penola Road at Kalganyi Caravan Park.

They produce a lovely pinot noir. It has a good deal of musky, creamy oak but the fruit beneath is spicy, varietal, juicy and comples, its mix of sweet and sour characters working nicely together. Fine tannin structure and nice length.

Some of the excellent wine varieties produced at the vineyard include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Gris.
