Winery Star

Wine Leaders' Choice

Keyneton, Australia

The Henschke family has been producing some of Australia’s finest wines for six generations at their Eden Valley estate. The Hill of Grace and Mount Edelstone vineyards are among the oldest and most revered in the country, and their focus on single-site expressions captures the essence of the land and the people who work it. The Henschkes are deeply committed to traditional winemaking practices, while embracing modern technology and introducing organic and biodynamic farming practices to sustain the family’s heritage for generations to come.

The Hill of Grace vineyard was first planted over 150 years ago, and its vines continue to produce exceptional Shiraz grapes that have been crafted into award-winning wines since the 1950s. The family personally hosts tastings, with a range of exceptional white, red, and sparkling wines available, including notable Shiraz and Riesling varietals.

Visitors to the Henschke estate can choose from a range of experiences, including an introductory tasting, private tastings of the estate’s most prestigious wines, and tours of the winery and historic cellars. The Barossa Experience includes a private plane ride to Hutton Vale Farm for a guided tour of the Henschke vineyards and a casual lunch with the family.

Henschke is one of Australia’s First Families of Wine, and their commitment to minimal intervention in the winemaking process produces elegant and nuanced wines that capture the spirit of the land and the family that has worked it for generations.
