With the idea of making the most of the ideal characteristics of the Pinto Bandeira micro-region, Geisse chose to implement the backbone system in all its vineyards, working with controlled production indexes. This act was considered one of the milestones of Brazilian viticulture in the search for quality, since it was the first Chardonnay spread vineyard in the region.
Just over 36 hectares of the vineyard are used for production, in these are the best soil, with the essential characteristics for growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes of excellent terroir. Today, 100% of the Geisse vineyards in Pinto Bandeira are treated in an eco-efficient manner, without the use of pesticides.
