Etiene holds several sommelier certifications like the WSET Level 3, Sommelier Fisar, French Wine Specialist and others. She is an International Wine Judge, Wine Blogger and Wine Influencer. She is also a Cigar Sommelier. Etiene has always liked wine naturally. She found it tasty, vibrant, relaxing and, for her, that was enough to choose it as her favorite companion at parties and dinners (especially in two).

In 2010, after a period of high stress, she decided, on doctor advice, to choose a hobby, as she had none until then. Painting, drawing, and cooking were some of the frustrated pastime attempts. As she really enjoys reading and researching, she thought that studying wines (and being able to drink them with greater knowledge of the facts, of course) would be an interesting solution to combat her fatigue.

The encouragement came from her mother who gave her first basic wine course at the Vintage store at Iguatemi Shopping in Brasília as a birthday present. There were 12 hours of theoretical and practical classes. The day of the course was perfect: while the hubby went to drink beer and watch football games with friends, Etiene went to study and drink wine at the mall!

Gradually what was a hobby became a passion. Since then, Etiene has taken advanced courses, thematic courses, a ship course, a course at a wine bar in Florence (in Italy), an internationally recognized course, such as levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. In addition to French Wine Scholar, Californian Wine Specialist and Advanced Sommelier Fisar. She also participated in fairs, lectures, tastings, harmonized dinners and visited several wineries in Brazil and abroad.
