David Martínez is a Sommelier from Sitges, Barcelona, Spain. He has been in the wine business for the last 20 years. He started his job as sommelier in a gastronomic restaurant, combining it with wine reviews in magazines, wine contests and traveling around to discover new cellars.

After that period David started his current job as wine teacher. For the last 10 years, he has been teaching the young generations about wine, cocktails and restaurant service. He is also involved in the promotion of the local grape “Malvasía de Sitges,” preparing and doing wine tastings every month.

David promotes wine in the local area “Massís del Garraf ” collaborating with winemakers and preparing and doing different wine tastings every month. With a friend, they run their own wine distribution of local wines, Feten Wines, where they also promote local Catalan wines with high aging potential.

David shows all of this on his instagram profile, @dm_sommelier, where he presents to the community different local wines. During all these 20 years, he has participated in many different wine contests around, as judge and as sommelier.
