Daniele Sottile has a deep-rooted passion for wine which started in 2002. Since that time, has been continuously studying to discover and share the magic of wine. All started in 2003-2004 when Daniele got the Diploma of Sommelier AIS – Associazione Italiana Sommelier, followed by the Diploma of Wine Tasting Assaggiatore ONAV – Organizzazione Nazionale Assaggiatori di Vino. In 2015 Daniele reached an important milestone in his career – he has been recognized as a Professor of Fondazione Italiana Sommelier.

From 2007 till now Daniele has organized a lot of events including Design Week, Merano Wine Festival, etc, private and public tastings as well as many successful collaborations with such companies as Gulfi, Conti Zecca, Erminio Campa, etc. He is also delivering wine courses, including the ones in wine and food pairings, for cooking schools, restaurants, wine shops, F&B stores as well as for the famous University of Milan. Being an expert of the hospitality sphere, Daniele develops courses and wine tasting sessions for B2B – HORECA world.

In 2020 Daniele published the book “Avvinamenti”, where he summarized his sommelier’s experience in more than 200 pages full of well-written and attractive content. The author shares his recommendations on food and wine pairings, telling a beautiful story of winemaking as well as wine culture and traditions. The book tells about authentic heritage of Italy – its winemakers who are doing their best to save native vines as well as to cultivate non-native ones. For almost 20 years in wine industry, Daniele Sottile has been constantly engaged in communicating and sharing the wonderful world of wine. His open personality, expertise and sense of humour are always inspiring people around him.  Being above all a professional and having truly Italian passion with which he does what he loves, Daniele personally knows thousands of wine producers, most of them are now his good friends.
