Charles Krug

Winery Star

Wine Leaders' Choice

Napa Valley, USA

In 1861, Charles Krug, the visionary father of Napa Valley winemaking, established the winery that started it all. The Mondavi Family purchased this already iconic estate in 1943, and for over 75 years and four generations they have been passionately perfecting an enduring legacy for those generations still to come.

The oldest winery in Napa Valley is home to California’s first tasting room. Opened for public tastings in 1882 by Charles Krug, our tasting room has evolved into a world-class hospitality center, renowned for its exceptional wines, stunning design and storied heritage.

Using sustainable farming practices and careful stewardship, winemaker Stacy Clark draws upon these prized estates in crafting elegant, finely balanced Napa wines that artfully express the unique terroir of each Napa Valley vineyard. Taste a variety of their most-limited, small-production offerings, most available only through the winery. Selections range from the elegant Limited Release Sauvignon Blanc, to their prized range of opulent single-vineyard Napa Cabernets.
