TerraNoble

Talca, Chile

Founded in 1993 by a group of visionary individuals led by Jorge Elgueta, TerraNoble embarked on a mission to unlock the potential of the Maule Valley and establish itself as a boutique winery specializing in Merlot. The name “TerraNoble” pays homage to the majestic and noble soils of the Maule Valley, recognized for their ability to produce exceptional wines.

Early on, in 1994, when Chilean Merlot was misidentified as Carménère, TerraNoble became dedicated to this variety, which has now become emblematic of the Chilean wine industry. Since then, the winery has been at the forefront of innovation and experimentation, constantly pushing the boundaries in both vineyard practices and winemaking techniques to harness the full potential of this remarkable grape.

.

The year 2016 marked a significant milestone for TerraNoble as it was honored as the “Chilean Wine Producer of the Year” by The International Wine & Spirits Competition, further solidifying its reputation as a leading player in the industry. Two years later, in 2018, the winery celebrated its 25th anniversary, a testament to its unwavering commitment to producing wines of the highest quality that truly express the essence of the fruit and its origin.

In 2019, TerraNoble reaffirmed its dedication to the people and land that contribute to its noble fruit by obtaining the Sustainable Wine of Chile certification. This certification acknowledges the winery’s sustainable practices and responsible approach to viticulture. Additionally, TerraNoble joined the Wine in Moderation program, advocating for responsible wine consumption. In 2020, the winery obtained the V-Label certification, guaranteeing that its wines are suitable for consumption by those following a vegan diet.

.

Stretching across the Casablanca, Colchagua, and Maule valleys, TerraNoble’s vineyards encompass approximately 300 hectares. Each vineyard has been carefully chosen and developed to meet the unique requirements of different grape varieties. This meticulous approach ensures the availability of optimal climate and soil conditions, resulting in well-balanced wines with pronounced aromas and flavors that beautifully express the nobility of their origins.

At TerraNoble, the winemaking philosophy centers around the belief that the process begins in the vineyard. With great care and respect for their noble land, the team nurtures it through meticulous work. Minimal intervention is key to preserving the integrity of the wines, allowing them to faithfully reflect the land and the distinctive character of the grape varieties it produces.

.

The TerraNoble seal represents fresh, expressive, and approachable wines. With each bottle, the winery strives to showcase the virtues of the land and the environment. By capturing the flavors, textures, and aromas that the terroir generously offers, TerraNoble showcases its deep appreciation and commitment to preserving and caring for the environment. To underscore this commitment, TerraNoble adheres to the rigorous protocols outlined in the Sustainable Wine of Chile Code. By complying with these protocols in vineyard and winery management, as well as in their interactions with their team and the San Clemente community, TerraNoble demonstrates its dedication to sustainability and responsibility.

TerraNoble’s journey in the Maule Valley has been one of pioneering spirit, guided by a deep respect for the land and the people who contribute to its success. Through their tireless efforts, they continue to enchant and captivate wine enthusiasts with authentic wines that reflect the nobility of their terroir. As TerraNoble forges ahead, their commitment to sustainable practices and responsible winemaking remains unwavering, ensuring a bright future for the winery and the wines it produces.
