Veneto, Italy

In the picturesque town of Selva in Montebello Vicentino, nestled amid rolling vineyards, there exists more than just a winery. For the Cavazza family, their winery is not merely a business; it is a home—a repository of memories, traditions, and the embodiment of their deep-rooted love for the craft of winemaking.

The heart of this familial abode is a house that Giovanni Cavazza, a visionary ancestor, purchased in 1928. This marked the genesis of a saga that intertwines vines and life, weaving a narrative that has spanned almost a century. The Cavazza family’s story is one of resilience, passion, and an unyielding commitment to crafting wines that encapsulate not just the taste of the grape but the essence of their existence.

The roots of this narrative delve into the memories and traditions that define the Cavazza legacy. Giovanni’s journey began in Montecchia di Crosara, in the province of Verona, where he spent five decades immersed in the world of vineyards. The year 1928 stands as a pivotal moment as he transplanted his life to Selva, bringing with him not just a house but a Bocara vineyard that laid the foundation for what would become the epicenter of the Cavazza universe.

Today, the same house in Selva stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of the Cavazza family. It is more than bricks and mortar; it is a sanctuary where memories are held dear, where traditions are passed down through generations, and where the flame of ambition for tomorrow burns brightly. The stories of the vineyard, narrated with genuine passion within the walls of this historic home, are woven into the fabric of Cavazza wines, making each bottle a vessel of decades of life’s moments, hopes, dreams, and victories.

The Cavazza family’s philosophy and creation are deeply rooted in their origins. Before being recognized as a formidable company, they proudly identify as a close-knit family. Their identity, shaped by the values instilled by Giovanni Cavazza, is the cornerstone that binds them together across generations.
