Tierras Altas is a boutique winery, owned by the “Vargas Arizu Family”, part of the Arizu Family, one of the founders of Argentinian Vitiviniculture. Four generations working on the vineyards transforming daily effort in wine culture. We invite you to live our “Malbec Experience Tour” and get to know our wines, winery, people, and main varietal in a different and fun way. 
For more than a century, the Arizu Family has been linked to viticulture. Many generations have dedicated their lives to working in the vineyards, transforming the daily effort into a culture of wine. Our story begins with Leoncio Arizu in 1890, continues with Juanita Arizu and Vicente Vargas Videla and reaches to this day by the hand of Vicente, Daniel and Rodolfo Vargas Arizu (3rd generation) who built Tierras Altas in 1999 to continue with the family winemaking tradition. Today part of the fourth generation of the family works on the project.
