Driven by Catherine’s entrepreneurial spirit and determination, the family arrived in Argentina in the late 1990s with a vision to establish a winery in one of their favorite places on Earth.
The construction of the winery began in early 2001, and the first harvest took place in 2002. Following Catherine’s departure in 2013, the family, composed of Henri, Helene, and Anne-Catherine Parent, along with their children, Élise and Emma Treiber, continue to carry on the unwavering passion for crafting outstanding wines in Argentina.

With a strong commitment to quality and a deep respect for the land, the Père Vergé family ensures that Bodega Monteviejo remains a symbol of their dedication to winemaking excellence. Located in the heart of Mendoza’s breathtaking landscape, Bodega Monteviejo captivates visitors with its remarkable architectural design. The winery’s structure is partially concealed by a sloping vineyard garden, seamlessly blending nature and craftsmanship. As visitors explore, they are greeted by the other half of the winery, which opens into a sculpture courtyard, offering a panoramic view of the awe-inspiring Andes mountains.

To complement the extraordinary wine experience, Bodega Monteviejo invites visitors to indulge in a sensory journey at their restaurant. Perched at the top of the winery, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the majestic Andes while guests savor the exquisite flavors of Monteviejo’s wines paired with delectable culinary creations.
