Anastasia is a 34-year-old Russian wine lover, sommelier and blogger living in Moscow. Before she got the wine bug 5 years ago, Anastasia was successfully making her career in strategic consulting and banking. At that time, she travelled a lot to Italy, Spain, Germany and other European wine regions, visited lots of wineries. However, one day she realized that wine is more than just a drink – it is a piece of art with its own history, traditions and character that need to be respected and preserved.
Later on, Anastasia together with her brother Alexey started a blog on Instagram – Vino_why_no, which is now one of the most popular Instagram blogs about wine in Russia – 28k followers. The aim of the blog is to show the wine industry to ordinary people and to promote wine culture – by telling interesting facts, explaining complex terms in simple words as well as presenting good wines that are affordable to everyone. Moreover, Anastasia and Alexey started a Telegram channel that has also became popular (4.6k followers).

Anastasia is actively promoting Russian wine as now it is a rapidly developing industry with dozens of new names appearing all the time. She is also organizing blind tastings of Russian wines vs wines of the popular wine regions. Spoiler: sometimes Russian wines win!
In 2021 Anastasia acted as an ambassador of Alto Adige wines festival in Moscow and also participated in various activities devoted to promotion of German wines in Russia. She often runs her own offline events – Wine tastings in Moscow, and is thinking about making online webinars and wine tastings.
