689 Cellars
Napa Valley, California, United States
689 Cellars is a winery that carries a unique story dating back to 2008. It was founded by Curtis McBride and Kent Rasmussen, who both had extensive experience in the wine industry. Curtis had spent years marketing and selling wines globally, while Kent had honed his winemaking skills crafting exceptional wines in California. Inspired by their travels to the Far East, they decided to incorporate elements of Asian numerology into their winery, giving rise to the name 689 Cellars.
In Asian culture, the number “6” embodies the concepts of happiness and fluidity, while the number “8” symbolizes wealth and prosperity. Similarly, the number “9” signifies longevity and eternity. During their travels, Curtis and Kent were deeply influenced by the significance of these numbers and recognized the potential to infuse their winery with their positive energy. Hence, the name 689 Cellars serves as a homage to these numbers, encapsulating the ideals and positive forces they represent.

Much like the interwoven numbers in their logo, the wines of 689 Cellars embody a harmonious balance of separate elements coming together. Situated in the renowned Napa Valley of California, the winery collaborates with vineyard partners to produce exceptional wines that can be enjoyed by their family and friends.
The founders of 689 Cellars share a common goal of sharing their long and prosperous experience in the wine industry with both old and new friends. Their passion for wine and their extensive travels around the globe have served as inspiration for their diverse range of wines. Each bottle tells a story and reflects the unique characteristics of the regions that have influenced their winemaking.
.
.
689 Cellars takes pride in producing wines that are enjoyed not only within the United States but also in over 30 countries worldwide. Their wines are a testament to the dedication, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality that Curtis and Kent bring to their winemaking process.
Whether it’s the rich and velvety reds or the crisp and vibrant whites, the wines of 689 Cellars are crafted with care and attention to detail. They strive to create wines that not only delight the palate but also create memorable experiences for those who indulge in them.
.
.
As 689 Cellars continues to grow and evolve, they remain rooted in their core values of unity, balance, and the pursuit of excellence. Through their wines, they invite wine lovers to embark on a journey of taste, culture, and friendship, sharing the joy of wine with people around the world.
